William Gildo Marsiglio, Sr., 94, of Blairsville, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at Indiana Regional Medical Center in Indiana, PA.

Born on January 12, 1932, in Export, PA, Westmoreland County, he was the beloved son of Bert and Elda (Baldovin) Marsiglio.

William attended Harmony Grove Lutheran Church in Creekside. He worked for 38 years as a quality control supervisor at Westinghouse Specialty Metals in Blairsville, where he took pride in his work until his retirement. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army with the 25th Infantry Division during the Korean War.

He was a member of American Legion Post #858 in Export and VFW Post #1989 in Indiana. In his spare time, William found joy in hunting, fishing, golfing, and gardening.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 35 years, Sandra L. (Adamson) Marsiglio, whom he married on December 13, 1990; his son, William Marsiglio, Jr. (Cheryl) of Richmond, VA; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and his sister, Gloria Clyburn of McKinney, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four daughters, Doris Daugherty, Carol Lauff, Victoria Marsiglio, and E. Susan Cook; a grandson, Carl Daugherty; and two brothers, Donald Marsiglio and Robert Marsiglio.

In keeping with William’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA 15717, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
